Our Membership Agreement is a set of promises that Members make about how to engage with others on Bright. Every community needs basic rules for how they operate, rules that have to be clear-cut enough that everyone understands that if you violate them, there are consequences.
These promises are so important that breaking any one of them can mean an automatic, lifetime ban from Bright. Every Member of Bright must agree to these terms to be a member of our community, because we believe that Bright only succeeds if we trust one another and are accountable to one another, too.
I agree that I will never use Bright to commit crimes or to encourage or help another person commit a crime.
I agree that I will never use Bright to cause direct or indirect physical harm to another person or myself.
I agree that I will never use Bright to threaten or harass anyone.
I agree that I will never use false identification or false credentials on Bright.
I agree that I will never share personal information or personal data about anyone else without their permission.
I agree that I will never share images of anyone else on Bright unless I have the right to do so.
I agree that I will never share explicit images of myself or any other person with any other person on Bright unless I have the right to share the image and the receiving person has expressly agreed to receive it.
I agree that if I engage with anyone under the age of 18 on Bright I will take special care to adhere to these agreements.
Further, I understand I have an obligation to report anyone who appears to use Bright to harm, endanger, put at risk, or otherwise inappropriately engage with anyone under the age of 18.
